The journey of Frostee Frozen Foods dates back to 1945 when our forefather, Laxmi-Narayan Sharma, travelled from northern India to Kolhapur with nothing but a shutter camera and a dream. He earned his livelihood by capturing photographs at carnivals, but circumstances forced him to sell his camera to survive. Refusing to give up, he used the little money he had to buy a kadhai and a stove, setting up a small stall outside a college to sell tea and pakoras. His unwavering determination and entrepreneurial mindset soon led to the establishment of a hotel, and later, Kolhapur’s well-known Bengali Cold Drinks, which became a favorite among locals.
This legacy of hard work and passion for quality was carried forward by his son, Radheshyam, and later by his grandson, Manohar. With a vision to expand the family business, Manohar took a bold step by setting up an Ice cream manufacturing unit in a modest 10x12 sq. ft. space in Kolhapur’s industrial area. What started as a small-scale operation grew steadily through dedication, innovation, and an unrelenting commitment to quality. Today, Manohar, along with his son Satyen have transformed this humble venture into a modern 22,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, producing more than 60 flavors of ice cream.
